VIRGILE DAGNEAUX / LA ROCHELLE'S NATIONAL CHOREGEAPHIC CENTER / CIE ACCRORAP DIRECTED BY KADER ATTOU
After a detour by tap dance, classical and contemporary dance, he devoted himself entirely to hip-hop, touring for more than 10 years on the international stages, alongside Leela Petronio, Hamid El Kabouss and Kader Attou (with The Roots and OPUS 14 in particular). Nurtured by these diverse experiences, looking for a rhythmic and intuitive choreographic language, he founds his own company in 2015, Virgule, organizes meetings, instant choreographic laboratories... He is a recognized pédagogue, and intervenes in various dance schools and with La Rochelle’s National Chorégraphic Center’s project, during workshops and master classes on a national and international scales.

HIP HOP
This course is open to dancers from all horizons, and proposes an appropriation of hip hop’s techniques and vocabulary (top rocks, footworks...) with an emphasis on fluidity, amplitudes and muscular intentions, as well as hand movement. Through a series of duo exercises, he approaches the notions of contact, interactivity, instantaneity and self-confidence. Influenced by Kader Attou’s dance, drawing on the sources of his creativity in meeting, exchanging and sharing, Virgile Dagneaux offers to all dancers a range of tools and techniques, to enrich everybody’s vocabulary in their dance, to perfect themselves or to open up to new perspectives.
