Either electric, electronic or acoustic, the avant-garde of world music has, in Les Suds,à Arles, a stage up to its standards: the « Nuits des Forges ». Established at the foot of the tower’s building site designed by Frank Gehry for the LUMA Foundation in Arles, in the heart of a finely restored industrial wasteland, this stage welcomes the most innovative creation.

Révolutionnant la jeune scène de Ramallah à Damas et de Beyrouth à Londres où ils vivent, ces porte-paroles de la diaspora musicale palestinienne donnent au dabke, musique traditionnelle des mariages, une alternative électro : le shamstep, en référence à Sham - Liban, Jordanie, Israël et Syrie - et à dubstep. Guitares ou synthés saturés de rythmes électr'orientaux et londoniens, percussions et tabla puissantes appuient un flow de paroles engagées qui en appelle à un regard éclairé sur le monde. Sur scène, leur performance explose en un live à l'énergie bien rock !
