Les Suds à Arles

	For the early birds of France’s Festivals season 2012, the music feast kicks off at ARLES with the SUDS World Music Festival which runs from July 09th to 15th.
	Each year the SUDS, in ARLES Festival attracts some 60,000 festival-goers and more than 200 artists for a hundred concerts and gatherings right in the heart of the beautiful city of Arles. For a week from 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. every day, world music invites the world to Arles. Its well orchestrated mix offers established artists and new talent, traditional music and sounds alongside more adventurous alternative programming all playing out at a music festival that offers outstanding performances, formal concerts, musical events and informal friendly jams in the heart of the Camargue.
		This 17th season offers a taste of the positive side of globalisation, attracting artists from East, West, North and South, inspired by their original cultures and seeking to break down boundaries. Alongside the festival trainees in music and dance are on offer: THE DANCE & MUSIC 2012 INTERNS Programme
		Intended for a wide audience, these trainees are designed to share a passion. Participants experience the festival from the inside, while forging ties with an artist. All take place in the city centre, close to concert sites and meeting places.
